The latest trend in haircolor: New Vintage –

Hair Color for Brunettes.

   Much in the same way that a vintage Chanel bag looks better than one you just bought, haircolor seems its sexiest lived-in, as though you had it all along.  Hairstylists refer to the emerging trend as “New Vintage” haircolor.

New Vintage color is close to a singular shade, but it naturally flows into different tones in a very gentle and subtle way.  It can still be rich and shiny, but it’s never so showy that it screams ‘I just came from the salon,” at the prime of its color.

New Vintage is an alternative for brunettes opting for standard blonde highlights.  Brunettes can benefit from strategically placed low-lights or mid-lights, which can flow more naturally than blonde highlights.

It creates haircolor with deeper roots and lighter ends to mimic how natural blond hair really looks.

The effect is not as obvious or as structured as traditional highlights.  New Vintage creates a look that’s worn, not weathered.
